Private Lessons
Ages 4 - adult
Private lessons on nearly any instrument and voice are available all summer long. They are a great way for you to learn to play a new instrument or hone existing skills.

Broadway at the FSPA
Ages 12-adult
June 16 – July 11 (no class July 4)
5:00 - 8:00 pm, daily
This comprehensive Broadway musical training class features voice, dance and drama coaches. Sing, dance and act out scenes from great Broadway musicals. This exciting class culminates with performances at FIM and in Kearsley Park.

Percussion Camp
Ages 6-12
June 23 – 27, 9:30 am - noon
Try your hand at tom-toms, bongos, hand drums, timpani, marimba and more! Learn musical basics like rhythm skills and music reading.

Summer Fun with Strings
Ages 5-12
July 7–18, 9:30 am - noon
Learn to play the violin, viola, cello or bass! Beginners, choose your favorite instrument and learn to play. Intermediates, work as a group on fun and educational music.

Create-a-Musical
Ages 5-12
July 21–August 1, 1pm - 3:30pm
Sing, play an instrument, dance, write and act. Put one or all of these skills to use and create your own musical!

Dancin’ Fun

Jump, Leap & Spin!
Using Creative Movement, students explore a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, ethnic and mime.

Summer Fun with Piano
Ages 6-10
August 11–22, 9:30 am - noon
Learn the fundamentals of playing the piano, note reading and playing by ear. Enjoy recreational activities, the FSPA's music technology lab and exploring the Flint Cultural Center.

Ready, Set, Trumpet!
Beginners, Ages 8–12
Aug. 25–27, 11:15 am–12:15 pm
Want to learn to play the trumpet? These classes get you off to a great start. Learn the basics about playing, handling your trumpet and learn great songs.
Fee: $25

Intermediate, Ages 12–14
Aug. 25–27, 10am–11am
Already play the trumpet? This is a great way to get ready for the fall with a warm up routine, a review of basic trumpet techniques, music theory and ensemble music.
Fee: $25

Ready, Set, Flute!
Beginners - Ages 8-12
August 25-27, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm
Learn the fundamentals of flute playing and how to play fun songs!
Fee: $25, Flutes available

Intermediate - Ages 12-14 (minimum of one year experience)
August 25-27, 10am – 11am
Refresh your basic skills, learn new songs and participate in the flute choir. Try out other members of the flute family, too!

SUMMER INTENSIVE

Summer Ballet Intensive

This concentrated class schedule gives experienced students an opportunity to focus on strengthing their ballet technique and pointe work.

Ballroom Dance
Ages 15-adult
August 6-27, Wednesdays
Dancing for Enjoyment, 6pm-7pm
These classes help you move across the dance floor with grace and confidence.
