Ms. Brenda will share folklore from around the world on the Library Lawn, feel free to bring a sack lunch and blankets.  Rain Location: Children’s Room

“One-derful World Comedy Show” with Joel Tacey!

Children, teens & adults are invited to sign-up for summer reading at the Flint Public Library’s “One World Many Stories” kick-off.

Passport Adventure! with Tell-A-Tail   
Thursdays, 4pm, June 23-July 21
Experience a new worldly adventure each week at the Library. Children will also have the chance to practice their reading skills with our kind & gentle Therapy Dogs!

Flint Reads!
Wednesdays, June 29 – July 20
Times and locations vary.  Please refer to www.fpl.info/kidsweb for details.  Local celebrities will be featured readers with stories, crafts & entertainment from the Flint Public Library.

Graphic Artist & Author Mark Crilley
Saturday, July 9th at 4pm
Grades 6th-12th, Space is limited so please call 810.249-2170 to register

Through the use of humor & characterizations Mark Crilley provides tips on writing and storytelling:  the art of creating characters that really seem to live and breathe.  Mark will also present a live drawing demonstration.

Come with us to ‘merry olde’ England as the royal court of King Percy the Persnickety celebrates his Majesty's birthday.  Young and old alike will enjoy performances by Pierrote the French mime on the tight rope, Frederick Von Drops Alot the German juggler, Wong Loo the Chinese acrobat, Ekaterina Flysonova the Russian trapeze artiste. . Dave Herzog has been delighting audiences around the country for 37 years with his musical marionette variety shows.

World Carnival Reading Club Finale
4pm, Thursdays, July 8, 15 & 22nd
All our worldly summer reading adventures will be celebrated at this carnival of games, crafts and more…  Be sure to bring your “One World, Many Stories” Reading Passport to check in and receive your reading prize and be entered for some wonderful grand prizes!
